It's the most complete individual plan Delta sells. You get 100% preventive care, major work and implants at 50%, adult orthodontics, and a $2,000 annual maximum. We also show exactly when each benefit starts paying, so you can plan around the waits.
Get cover today. See your dentist when it counts.
Preventive is day one; bigger work has a clock.
Search in‑network providers by procedure.
Eligibility confirmed before you ever call.
Pays a percentage of covered care. See any licensed dentist, and you save the most in the PPO network.
Exams, cleanings, x‑rays. No waiting period.
Fillings & extractions (after the wait).
Crowns, bridges, dentures, implants, root canals.
Adults & children, the differentiator.
Most plans cap ortho to dependent children. Premium covers adults too at 50%, up to a $1,500 lifetime maximum with a separate $50 ortho deductible, plus implants at 50%. So the Invisalign or implant you've delayed finally has a number. Ortho has a 12-month wait, and it is waivable with proof of prior coverage.
Premium covers more procedures than any other individual Delta plan, but it asks you to wait for the bigger work. Preventive starts on day one. Everything else is on a clock, and here are the exact timelines.
Delta Dental waiting periods vary by state; typical individual terms shown (basic about 6 months; major, implants and ortho about 12 months). Prior continuous dental coverage can waive or shorten them. CoverCapy verifies your exact start dates with the carrier before you enroll.
Delta members get access to savings programs alongside the dental benefit. These are discount programs, not insurance, but they are real money most plans never mention.
If you have certain chronic conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease or a pregnancy, you can get up to 4 cleanings a year at 100% instead of the usual two.
Up to about 35% off the national average LASIK price at 800+ locations, with a free consultation. A savings program, not an insured benefit.
Around 66% average savings on hearing aids across 6,000+ providers, plus complimentary follow-up care. A savings program, not an insured benefit.
Virtual checkups and advice from a dentist by video or photo, useful for a quick read on whether something needs an in-person visit.
Member discounts on oral care, fitness, groceries and meal delivery, travel, pet insurance, child care and more.
The $2,000 maximum runs on a calendar year and resets every January 1, and coverage can start as soon as about 9 days out.
Savings programs are access-to-discount programs provided through third parties (QualSight, Amplifon and others), are not insurance, and are separate from your dental coverage. Availability varies by state and plan; confirm with Delta Dental.
In-network dentists agree to Delta's contracted fee, the maximum allowable charge, which is often 25 to 40 percent below their walk-in price. You keep that lower rate even after you have used up your $2,000 annual maximum, or when a visit falls just outside a frequency limit. It even helps on cosmetic work the plan does not cover, such as whitening, because a contracted dentist's rate is typically lower than the cash price.

*Network rates are illustrative contracted fees from a published Delta Dental PPO fee schedule and vary by ZIP and dentist; cash prices are national estimates. On covered services the plan then pays its share on top of this lower rate. Whitening and other cosmetic services are usually not a covered benefit, so the network discount on them is not guaranteed in every state. The lower rate only applies at a dentist contracted for the Delta Dental PPO product, so find and verify a PPO dentist and confirm the office's fee before you book.
